In Flight Skin Care Tips

In Flight Skin Care Tips

It’s no secret that traveling can wreck havoc on your skin. From stressing about making the flight on time, to worrying that you may have forgotten something important; your skin’s happiness is in for a long day. You know what’s the icing on the cake though? Dry air during a long flight. Ugh!

Here are a few tips to help you get to your destination looking fresh and ready for your vacation:

1.    No Makeup:

Let your skin breathe. Makeup can clog your pores and dry out your skin during flights. It’s just not worth it…. Bring a big pair of sunglasses and you’ll look chic no matter what.

2.    Facial Wipes:

These will come in handy once your skin starts feeling oily and gross. I like the Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes - Night Calming from Neutrogena.

3.    Rose Water Spray:

It’s like a glass of water for your face. Spray it all of over your face after wiping it clean and again halfway through the flight. There are so many brands out there with amazing hydrating sprays. These 2 are the ones I've tried and loved.

4.    Hydrating Sleep Mask:

Your skin is crying and begging for moisture. Make sure you give it that and then some. I usually bring a thick facial mask that specializes in plumping, brightening and hydrating the skin. Nugg makes really nice single-serve facial mask pods. I usually bring one or two with me and since the pods are pretty generous I'm able to use the leftover after the flight or on my way back home.

You can find these at Whole Foods, Ricky's or online.

5.    Lip Balm:

Chapped lips are no fun. Especially when you're 30,000 feet up.

6.    Water:

I know the wine and hard alcohol is tempting, ugb fine, you can have one drink I guess. BUT drink a ton of water after. Stay hydrated from the inside out to avoid looking puffy when you land.
