How to get there and around town: Getting to Montauk by car can take anywhere from 2 - 4 hours depending on where you live in New York. It took us 2 1/2 hours both ways. You can also take the LIRR (Long Island Rail Road) from NY Penn or Jamaica station and get off at the Montauk station.

Take a look at the schedule and ticket prices (here). From Penn station a one way ticket costs between $20-$30 depending on what time of day you travel. Once you arrive at Montauk station you can get a taxi easily.

Most hotels have bikes on site for guests to use during their stay. Even though we drove we hardly touched the car once we parked it. I loved riding the bikes all over town!

Where to stay: There are a ton of hotels all over Montauk. We recently stayed at the Aqualina Inn and loved it! The hotel is across the street from Kirk Park Beach and has a heated pool. The staff was really sweet and made our stay so great. We can't wait to go back!

Where to eat: So many yummy options I don't even know where to begin BUT here's what we tried and LOVED!

Breakfast at Jonis - This is probably the most popular spot in town for breakfast. The line usually goes out the door and it's a pretty casual scene.

Coffee at Left Hand Coffee - Love love loveeeee. It's right next door to Jonis!

Lunch at Tacombi - If you've been to the one in NYC then you already know how good their tacos are. Get some guac, chips, tacos + a few margaritas and head to the beach after for an afternoon nap!

Dinner at  Ruschmeyers - We fell in love with everything about this hotel/restaurant. The food was absolutely incredible and so was the service!

i want to be vegan so baaaaad!! but sometimes a girl just needs some MEAT! 😫❤️
